ON REFLECTION 2015

The following is what the Lord showed at the beginning of the year as the plan for WAA moving forward.
“As the Lord has revealed what He wants for WAA it is clear there are two streams emerging. Firstly, it is a support, networking and encouragement for women who are proactive, courageous five-fold ministers’, who know they are called and are purposeful in their intent to walk in their call no matter the cost.

Second, we are to help train, teach, and equip women about the five-fold ministry. These training evenings help bring clarity and understanding about how each of the five ministries operates. It helps us to understand one another and ourselves. In these training nights we provide opportunity for women to share, and to glean from one another’s anointing. Very powerful!!”
One of the most powerful things we can do is to stop and reflect where we have come from so we can evaluate in order to move forward into God’s divine purposes – not too late, not too early but on time!

I have done a bit of an overview of what WAA has done and achieved and whether we are on course.
As we look at the two streams for WAA it is interesting to see what the Lord has shown and how we have actively done what He has required.
Our local branch meetings have prayed, declared and done prayer activations and we have seen some positive answers to prayer. We as women, and those called or are activated in their five-fold call are required to make a stand and expose the enemies lies and speak and declare change in the spiritual realm. This is the governmental role of the five-fold minister and that is what we at WAA are charged to do. Five-fold minister’s have a God given authority to speak and declare.

Evil is increasing and if there is one thing that I have observed this year is the blatant demonic attack on families.  Domestic violence is one such example. At the beginning of the year the Lord alerted me to the issue of domestic violence and within a very short time Rosy Batty was announced as the Australian of the Year. God has exposed what has and is a secret, a shameful burden upon many women. Many things are changing with governments, both state and federal advocating for change. Money is being poured into support services and the justice system shortfalls and issues are being examined. The domestic violence court trial in Southport is an answer to prayer.
Our other prayer, declaration focus has been the push for same sex marriage debate. We strongly advocated against the Glitter Festival held in September at Evandale parklands and Gold Coast Arts Centre. This involved letters being sent to the Mayor and the organisers of this festival. We went to the Gold Coast arts centre and Evandale and walked, prayed, and declared God’s standards in these buildings and areas.

Broadbeach has continued to be a prayer activation focus for us particularly addressing the homosexual lust spirit over the area. We prayed at the Kurrawa Surf Club and another couple of prayer activations were in areas around the surf club.
We have also been a voice speaking out against and confronting the demonic realm when the books and movie ’50 Shades of Grey’ was released.

Society has double standards when the outrage of domestic violence was voiced yet these same people attended this disgusting movie. And Christian women were ensnared in this lie.
I think it is important to examine what we do and why. Our training nights are crucial, as we need to know and understand one another – our motivational gifts and what the five-fold call looks like. We know the five-fold gift’s are to train and equip the saints for the work of the ministry. I think we have all learnt the unique expressions of each of the five-fold. There are very distinct qualities that define each one. It is amazing as we understand the five-fold we get a picture of what the church is meant to look like if we all worked together to bring the saints into their call and destiny. We see how the fullness of Jesus Christ could be expressed and how effective we would be to bring change in our sphere of influence, whether that be in the church or out in the community. Very powerful!
Some of the topics we have discussed at these training nights included justice, truth, forgiveness, and mercy. It was fascinating to see each five-fold minister’s take on these subjects. The questions, evaluations and discussions as a result have been fascinating and very thought provoking. In the past couple of months we have examined warfare and how to walk in our God given authority.
God is raising up His women in this hour, we each have a responsibility to walk in the position He has ordained for us. There is an evil assault against women and families and we as women are charged to speak, and to do everything the Lord requires, as we be a voice in this hour against evil.
Some of us attended the ‘Women on the Front-lines’ conference where Patricia King spoke. We met with and heard of many amazing women doing powerful things in the Spirit. Sadly many have done it alone and without support. That is why WAA exists. God created us to need one another, and we need each other like never before.

God is not going to raise His women without the indigenous women alongside us. There is a powerful move of God among the indigenous women, and again many have done much alone. Lynne and I were blessed to minister at the Indigenous Women’s Conference in Ipswich. Ada Boland, an apostle who has the vision for this is strategic in us together forging ahead as women of God to bring change in this nation. Very exciting!

We held two one-day seminars. Ada Boland spoke on the ‘way of the Cross’. The other day seminar had Ruth Smith speak about the ‘religious spirit’.
We were blessed to hear and catch the spirit of these amazing women. I was impacted by the unity at these seminar days and conferences.

Women unfortunately can be good at pulling one another down, however I have been encouraged by the strength, and desire for unity. The walls of division are crumbling down and we have to proactively seek and put into practice reaching out to one another in love, encouragement and assurance.

I have been very privileged to meet with many of you one on one and to hear your exploits and speak into your lives. I marvel at the tenacity of women who have overcome much, but have never given up on God no matter what has assailed them.

I have personally learnt to lean and rely on God in ways I have never imagined. We all have our battles, and some battles are intense and vicious. It is in our trials and tests that we learn to overcome. We see where the Lord has come through for us, meanwhile forging a deep overcoming spirit that only comes about through difficulties.

Like all of us, some things haven’t gone the way we thought. This has exposed the deep issues of the heart and I put my hand up and say it is pretty ugly. However, I know without a doubt I have matured from where I was and I look forward to new adventures in Him. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journeys too. That is the greatest honour one can ever have.

Blessings,
Glenice Mills
